Rant Casey, some guy called Pirsig wrote a whole book trying to define the term “quality”. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
I disagree with the premise that quality is not quantifiable. It is, but we are unable to put into a single formula what the quantities are. Our brain is better at a wholistic vision than understanding the parts that make up the judgment. We are a bit like girls this way; by nature we don’t know why or what we feel.
