As for Moxie’s profile psychoanalysis (*Trademarked), I’d say she hit on a couple of points right, some wrong. But that I guess would be for a therapist to decide. ( I do partly blame a cat for turning the tide of one relationship, so i guess she got that right. but it wasn’t really meant as a blanket knock on girls with cats…) I am a little surprised my humorous tone sounds abrasive to other ears, so that is definitely a valuable takeaway. The voice people hear when they read is sometimes different than the one you hear when you write.
I’ll say this about batting out of one’s league, as I know it is a popular Moxie concept: if love is baseball, I’d rather swing, miss a lot, and hit a home run than take walks and singles all year. Singles are for perpetual daters. It only takes one homer to change a life. (On the other hand, you can get hit by a pitch and go on the disabled list.)
